Exchange your bra without sending it back: how the guarantee works
Order the wrong size from Monavida and you don't have to send that bra back. Keep it, give it away, donate it, whatever you want, and we'll ship you the right size for free. That's our 30-day perfect fit guarantee, and below you'll find exactly what to do.
What does "exchange without returning it" actually mean?
At most online stores, an exchange works like this: you ship the wrong item back, you wait until it arrives, and only then does the new size go out the door. That can take days, sometimes weeks. At Monavida we skip that step entirely.
If your size is off, you don't need to box up the bra and ship it to a return address. You keep it at home, hand it to someone who can use it, and we send the right size at no cost. One customer described her exchange experience like this: "Because the Daily Essential from my first order fit so well, I wanted to try a different style too. This one just wasn't the right fit for me. After reaching out through chat, these bras were exchanged back to the Daily Essential style without any hassle."

Here's how it works, step by step
- Step 1. First, take a minute to confirm it really is the size that's off (see the self-check below).
- Step 2. Contact customer service within 30 days of receiving your order, by email or chat.
- Step 3. Describe what's wrong: is the band cutting in, is the cup gaping, are the straps digging in? A photo helps, but it's not required.
- Step 4. You'll get a size recommendation and the right size ships to you for free.
- Step 5. You don't send the wrong bra back. Keep it or donate it.
That's the whole process. No printing a return label, no hauling a package to a shipping point, no waiting weeks for something to be checked in. That last step is what surprises most customers, since they're used to stores that only spring into action once the returned package has been scanned. With us, none of that is necessary, which saves you time plus the hassle of packaging and shipping labels.

Self-check: is size really the problem?
Before you reach out, it's worth checking for yourself whether size is really the issue. That way customer service knows right away which direction to go, and you get the right size back faster.
- Band check: slide a finger under the band at your back. If you can easily fit more than two fingers under it, the band is too loose. If it rides up into a V shape between your shoulder blades, it's too tight.
- Cup check: look at yourself from the side and from the front in a mirror. If your breast spills over or out beside the cup, the cup is too small. If there's loose fabric or a pucker at the top of the cup, it's too big.
- Strap check: pull a strap up about half an inch and let go. If it immediately digs back into your shoulder, the strap is carrying too much weight and the band is probably too loose.
Say you currently wear a 36D and the cup still spills over: try a 38C instead. Same cup volume, spread over a wider band. In our own survey of almost 2,900 customers, 8.2% named the wrong size or cup as their biggest frustration, so you're definitely not the only one who's unsure about this. Take your time with this self-check: the more precisely you can describe what's digging in, pinching or hanging loose, the faster customer service can suggest the right size to try next.

Why don't you have to send the wrong bra back?
Simple reason: it costs us more to have a bra shipped back, inspected and reprocessed than it does to just send you the right size. And you get nothing out of waiting weeks for a refund or a new size while you're stuck without a bra that actually fits in the meantime.
This tends to really break down at stores that route returns overseas. You may recognize it from other people's experiences: a return address abroad, return shipping you have to pay for upfront, and then weeks more waiting for your money. That's exactly why this guarantee matters so much when the size is wrong: you skip that whole route completely.
"I just hope that if the new bra fits well, I can return it without a doubt if it doesn't. Because I've lost money more than once with other stores."
We get that hesitation. That's exactly why, when the size is wrong, there's no hoping involved: you don't send anything back, and you know up front that the new size is already on its way. Read more about how and why this works in our article on free exchanges without returns.
What if the new size still isn't quite right?
That can happen, especially if you fall between two sizes. Just email or message customer service again within the guarantee period and explain what's still off: too loose, too tight, straps still digging in. You don't need to worry that having already exchanged once means you've used up your chance for help.
If it becomes clear after a few tries that the style just isn't right for your body, switching to a different style is also an option. That's what the customer above did, and she ended up back at the Daily Essential anyway. It can take a couple of rounds to land on the size and style combination that actually feels right, and that's completely fine under this guarantee.
Would you rather get your money back than exchange?
That's an option too. This is our 30-day perfect fit guarantee: if the bra doesn't fit, you can choose between exchanging for the right size or getting a refund. Frequently asked questions about exchanging without returning
Do I need to send proof that the size is wrong?
No, that's not required. A clear description of what's wrong, like "the band is cutting in" or "the cup is gaping," is usually enough for a good size recommendation. A photo can help, but it's not a condition for getting help.
Can I exchange for a completely different style?
Yes, you can. If the Daily Essential doesn't feel right, for instance, and you'd rather try the Lace Lift or Posture Lift, just let customer service know. The basic rule stays the same: you don't send back the bra that didn't work.
How long until I receive the new size?
That depends on stock and where you live, but plan on a few business days to about a week from the moment customer service confirms your size. Read more about normal delivery times in bra order taking a while to arrive: what's normal?.
Does this apply outside the US too?
Yes, the guarantee works the same way no matter where you're shipping within our service area. You reach out through the same channels and get the same solution: keep the wrong size, get the right size sent to you for free.
What do I do if I've worn the same size for years but now I'm not sure?
That happens to a lot of women. Bodies change. Read whether your bra size still holds up after years before you order a new size, and you may not need to exchange at all.
